He completed his PhD at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Rosario under the direction of Dr. Nestor Carrillo. He made several short post-doctoral research stays in Germany (Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology), the United States (Duke University) and Belgium (PSB-VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology). He is currently an Independent Researcher at CONICET and heads the “Cellular Biology of Development in Plants” group. The objective of his group is to analyse the development and growth of plant organs at the cellular level and to identify mechanisms that regulate cell proliferation, endoreplication, and cell expansion and differentiation in plants.
